Racing has been a passion of mine since I first started Go-Karting at 14. Looking for an affordable and entertaining way to practice at home, I decided to build my own racing simulator. I used an off-the-shelf Logitech wheel, pedal, and shifter set, then designed a wooden frame that could securely hold a standard car seat and attach the pedal assembly to the base. I created an adjustable mount for the wheel and shifter to ensure a comfortable driving position.
The seat itself was a $50 find—salvaged from a Miata racecar—and retains full adjustability, just like a real car seat. To complete the setup, I fabricated an aluminum frame to support a used TV, and the entire system runs on a PS4 mounted beneath the seat. This custom rig provides a budget-friendly, immersive racing experience right in my own home.
